Two Lovers and a Bear will be shooting some of its winter scenes in Timmins. The movie will feature Canadian actress Tatiyana Maslany and American actor Dean Deaan as well as Agee, a 20 year old Polar Bear. The storyline sees the pair fall in love and take a leap of faith when faced with adversity.
This project was spearheaded by the Timmins Economic Development Corporation(TEDC) in a bid to diversify our economy. If this project goes well it could provide ample future opportunities for Timmins. Our wilderness and natural scenery are the perfect backdrop for wilderness scenes in movies. The project will also generate money for our economy as cast and crew will be residing in Timmins for an extended period of time.
It will also help Tourism Timmins promote winter tourism in Timmins by showcasing the diversity and the beauty of Northern Ontario.
