About Local Benefit Agreements

Without businesses, it would be hard to have a thriving community, but without a healthy, prosperous community, it’s hard to make a business successful. Economists and corporations all over the world are realizing that business has an important role in community development. By giving back to the community, businesses establish relationships with their clients, build their reputations, and increase the quality life for everyone. Even small firms without a lot of cash flow can contribute towards their community by volunteering, sitting on committees, or participating in community events. The idea behind this project is to develop a process that engages all of our local businesses in making Timmins the best place to live in Northern Ontario.
