About Community Engagement

There’s a lot of capacity in this community. A lot of people would volunteer to help out if they knew how their skills could be used. The Community Engagement project is all about providing a framework that supports and encourages volunteer work. Volunteers can have a tremendous positive impact on our community – they get involved in festivals, beautification strategies, parades, special events and even infrastructure projects like trails, for example. One of the objectives of this project is to look into the possibility of re-establishing a Volunteer Centre in Timmins.
