Are You In? Workshops coming soon

The Branding project is now in Phase II. To maintain the momentum built over the past year, the Branding Team will soon hold consultations to refine the brand concept developed during Phase I.

Several workshops will be held in Timmins where residents can provide input into the new Timmins logo and signage. The workshop facilitators will ask participants to provide their opinions on various graphic design concepts to help refine the I’m In symbol. The Branding Team has provided some good information about what makes a good logo design and how to design signage. The facilitators will also be looking for suggestions for new community signage (e.g. tourism attractions, points of interest, neighbourhoods).

You don’t have to be a professional designer to offer insights into the development of the community logo and signage. Many of you have already begun to share your thoughts, good and bad, about the preliminary logo and the “I’m In” positioning statement. It’s terrific that the community is engaged in this process! We want constructive conversation to continue so that we can ultimately create a recognizable and relatable logo.

Several workshops will be held the week of April 15. Not all the dates have been set, but there is a confirmed public workshop being offered at the McIntyre Arena on April 18 from 6-8pm. The rest of the dates will be entered in the Events Calendar soon, so stay tuned. Information specifically about the community branding process will be available at Timminsareyouin.com.
