Communications Campaign

About the Communications Campaign

During the public consultations, participants expressed a need for more dialogue with the City and other community organizations. Many felt that they did not know where to look for accurate, up-to-date information, or they had to look in too many different places to get it. The forest fire situation that affected Timmins in 2012 was evidence of the need for clear, open, and consistent information flow from the City to its residents.

Community members also expressed the desire to be able to provide feedback and information to the City without having to wait for a planning process like Timmins 2020 for the opportunity. They want a chance to share their thoughts and be heard.

Project Progress

The City of Timmins will develop and initiate a two-way Communications Campaign to improve dialogue between the City, community organizations, and residents. This project is slated to begin in 2013. Please continue to check back here for updates on the progress of the Communications Campaign once the process has begun.
