Consulting firm selected for Timmins brand

The last item on the agenda of Council’s meeting yesterday was the approval of the Branding Subcommittee’s recommendation for a consultant. The committee selected St. Clements Group out of 11 applicants after several weeks of discussion, reference checks, and interviews. Council approved the hiring of the consulting firm to develop Timmins’ brand story.

St. Clements Group, which is based out of Toronto, was established in 1993 and has developed branding strategies for many organizations. They are currently working with the Town of Ingersoll to develop their brand and marketing strategy.

Now that the branding process is ramping up, it’s important to remember that this phase of the branding strategy is not about creating a logo. The consultants will be meeting with various stakeholders to discuss Timmins’ brand story. They want to know what makes Timmins tick. Are we really all about gold and Shania Twain, or is there more to us? What do we want other cities to know about us?

Continue to follow this website for news updates on the process. As dates for consultations are scheduled, they will be shared on the City’s Community Events Calendar.
