Timmins has two new community service signs at the east and west entrances of town. Replacing the tired, plain brown signs are two bright, attractive modern signs that match the colour of our new brand and welcome signage. There is one near Canadian Tire, and another near the Chamber of Commerce building. There is also more room for club signs, with 20 spaces available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The City is also helping service clubs pay for the cost of new logos to be applied to the sign. Contact Guy Lamarche at the City of Timmins for more information. This project was part of the strategy to give Timmins a more welcoming appearance to visitors and residents, but it also highlights the wide range of community organizations that help make Timmins a better place to be.
