The Productivity and Innovation Centre (PIC) is now open. The centre is managed by NEOnet and is supported by grants from FedNor and NOHFC. The facility is located in newly renovated office space in B wing of Northern College.
The centre fosters a culture of productivity and innovation, which are two key components of economic development. The centre hopes to help businesses improve and implement innovative technologies. The main objective of the centre is to stimulate business innovation and productivity gains for the region’s small and medium sized enterprises (SME). As a member of the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE), the centre provides assistance to businesses in examining their operations, assessing their productivity, and implementing recommendations to improve performance. The centre also facilitates access to funding in order for businesses to access these services.
