Rotary Club Spearheads Youth Engagement Project

The Porcupine Rotary Club has launched a new service club called Timmins Interact. The club is geared toward youth aged 12-18 and will provide leadership, volunteer and community engagement opportunities. The Club’s mission is to provide opportunities for members to get involved in projects that will benefit the community in which they live.

Youth interested in making a difference in their community should consider joining Timmins Interact. The benefits are many and include learning leadership skills, making new friends and earning volunteer hours. Clubs like this are an important part of building community pride. Providing more opportunities for young people to get involved in civic life is an important part of building stronger Northern communities.

Membership recruitment is now underway. If you are interested or have questions, please feel free to join us at our next meeting, check out our Facebook page “Timmins Interact” or call Sebastien Vermette at 705-365-0422.
