T2020 Facebook increasing local engagement

One of the Timmins 2020 projects was to increase awareness among residents about how the City and its partners are making Timmins a better place to be. The Facebook page has been getting lots of support from local residents of all ages. With over 2,260 “Likes”, the site is usually engaging 5-15% of its users (3% is considered very good). We’ve been fortunate to have some community partners, such as Porter and Tourism Timmins, step up to the plate and help sponsor contests to help spread the word. The TEDC, Chamber of Commerce and the Venture Centre have also helped get the message out.

It’s a great way to keep in touch with what’s happening, add your thoughts to the discussion, and submit ideas on how to improve our community.
