More than sixty people attended the Official Launch Ceremony at the Timmins Native Friendship Centre on January 17th. The Friendship Centre is one of more than a dozen community partners that helped guide the planning process. His Worship Mayor Tom Laughren spoke about the goals of the plan, and how it will create new social, economic and cultural opportunities for Timmins. The Mayor then cut the ribbon on a box of Strategic Plan Summaries, which are now available in French and English at many locations around town.You can also download the summary by clicking on the icon on the right side of this page.
Right now, Timmins 2020 is being coordinated by an interim project manager, who is developing the governance structures, committee formats and communications processes needed to execute the plan.
