The 21st annual Welcome to Timmins Night saw more than 500 people come out to find out about Timmins. This year over 100 different organizations were present to share their knowledge and expertise with visitors. The overall goal of the evening is to build a strong social fabric in Timmins and create a sense of community pride in newcomers and current residents alike.
As part of the community engagement focus of the Timmins 2020 Strategic Plan our team hosted a booth at Welcome to Timmins Night. We spoke to about 150 people about the projects in the plan and informed people about where to go to learn more. We talked to people about the changes that are being made to make Timmins a better place to be. Guests to the booth got some Timmins swag and some promotional literature.
