New Mayor invites returning students for Coffee

Our new mayor, His Worship Steve Black, is continuing the Holiday Coffee Connection tradition for all college and university students. The event will be December 23 from 10-Noon this year, at Council Chambers in City Hall.

As part of the Timmins 2020 Youth Engagement Plan, several community partners have been working with the City to reach out to young people and help them find opportunities to work, live and STAY in Timmins 🙂 Last year’s inaugural event was a great success, with over 40 students joining then-Mayor Tom Laughren in Council Chambers for coffee, doughnuts and networking.

This year’s event is supported by the Venture Centre, the TEDC, the Timmins YMCA and the City of Timmins. There will be five terrific door prizes, lots of coffee and doughnuts from our sponsor, Tim Horton’s, and a great chance to get together with old and new friends. Please share this with any students you know – it’s a great opportunity for them to connect with their City and learn about some of the great opportunities that await as we implement our exciting strategic plan! All post-secondary students are welcome. Nous accueillons tous les étudiants!
