The 4th Annual Mixed Golf Tournament in support of the YMCA will be held August 1-2, 2015 at the Hollinger Golf Course. Creating partnerships is a great way to tackle local issues and support local not for profits.
The title sponsor this year is Porcupine Timber Mart who will be donating $5,000. The Steering Committee is seeking 36 hole sponsors at $250 each. All sponsors will be recognized with signage at the event, on the YMCA webpage, on Facebook and in the YMCA Annual Report.
The tournament has been successful the last two years and has raised over $20,000 in support of the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. The Strong Kids Campaign supports families in Timmins by offering programs like summer camps, youth leadership opportunities and special events like free family swims. The Timmins YMCA has been focusing on delivering free programs for kids. Tournament organizers state that allowing local youth to access free programming is a gift to the community. Healthy and happy youth are the future of our community and the more opportunities youth have to be engaged in a positive atmosphere the stronger our City will be.
Registration forms for the event will be available by July 1st and only the first 72 paid teams will be accepted.
