The Youth Engagement project identified as a priority during the Timmins 2020 planning process is making progress. Many partners are working on this, including the City, Timmins Chamber, YMCA, Porcupine Health Unit, Social Planning Council, the Venture Centre and Misiway Health Centre, among others.
The first event was the Mayor’s Christmas Holiday Coffee Connection, where 45 university and college students met with the Mayor over coffee. Upcoming projects include the Healthy Kids Initiative and a Youth Summit planned for this spring. Keep an eye out for more info!
