The FNETB Launches Employer Survey

The changing labour market has a direct impact on the types of jobs that are offered in Timmins and the types of skills and workers that are needed to fill those jobs. The Far North East Training Board is working toward identifying labour needs in Timmins. They have partnered with local employers to launch the 2015 Employer One survey to help identify their labor market needs. The survey aims to collect data on:

• Labor turnover.
• Hard-to-fill positions.
• Recruitment difficulties.
• Current and future skill shortages.
• Issues in training and education practices.

The responses to the survey will help 6 workforce planning boards from across the north to better understand labor demands and workforce challenges in our area. Knowing labour trends can help prepare the next generation of workers by aligning skills with demands.
