Master Plan RFP going to council

The Culture, Tourism and Recreation Master Plan (CTRMP) is making significant headway this month. The CTR Team met on November 20 to finalize the Request for Proposal (RFP) document.  The three subcommittees for Culture, Tourism and Recreation completed their input to the document in late October and the CTR Team worked to meld the input into one RFP. The resulting Culture, Tourism and Recreation Master Plan RFP will be presented to City Council on Monday, November 26 for approval. The document outlines expectations for the consulting firm or firms that will be hired to develop the CTRMP. If it is approved, the RFP should be released the day after its presentation to Council, allowing the CTRMP process to take a giant step forward. Consultants will then be able to submit proposals to complete the requested work, which the committees will review. The selection process will take place in January, with CTRMP work to begin in early 2013.

Please note that slight changes to the terminology of the project have been made, however the project itself has not changed.
